1.Human rights activist Irom sharmila from Manipur announced her new political party named as Peoples Resurgence and Justice Alliance(PRJA) will contest the Assembly polls next year.
2.Sharmila will be contesting in two constituencies in the state,Thoubal and Khurai.Khurai is her home constituency and Thoubal is Manipur Chief minister Okram Ibobi singh's Constituency.
3.She ill be the co-convener of the party and Erendro Leichombam, an Academician is the convenor.
4.The 44 year old sharmila broke her 16 year long fast for the withdrawal of the Armed Forces special Powers Act(AFSPA) this August.
