Airtel payments bank,Which is one of the 11 payments banks that recently got RBI approval,has started its pilot services in Rajasthan.
Airtel payments bank offers Customers 1 minute talk time for every rupee they deposited in their savings account.Suppose if a customers deposit 1000 rupees in his savings account he will get 1000 minutes as a talk time to his mobile number.The talktime can be used to Airtel-Airtel calling across India.
This benefit will be applicable for the first time deposits only.And comes with a validity of 30 days.Airtel payments bank offers 7.25% interest rates on their savings bank account which is almost equal to Fixed Deposit interest rates of some banks.It also offers 1lakh insurance per account.
Customers can open their savings accounts by visiting Airtel retail outlets.Payments banks cannot lend loans and cannot issue credit cards to their customers.Airtel Payments bank is a joint venture between Kotak Mahindra bank and Bharati Airtel.
