1.A Memorandum of Understanding,signed between Urban development ministry and Indian railways to redevelop railway stations and surrounding areas under the smart city plan.
2.Railway stations in 10 cities could be taken up for the redevelopment with the National Buildings construction Corporation(NBCC).
3.The 10 cities are Varanasi, Tirupati, Sarai Rohila, Bhubaneshwar, Lucknow, Varanasi,Jaipur,Kota,Thane,Margao and Puducherry.
